Plan a first set of three ads

How to plan three image ads that each test one idea, so your first spend teaches you something.

Three ads is a good first test. If each one tries something different, you learn which idea works, not just which picture looks nicer. When you don't say how many, Goose plans three ads this way.

Pick one product

Start with the product that already sells best. You'll get results faster, and a winner is easier to spot.

Change one thing per ad

Keep the product the same, and change one of these between ads:

AdWho it's forThe angleExample hook
1People who already know the problemThe problem it fixes"Still waking up at 3am?"
2People buying a giftWho it's perfect for"The gift she'll actually use"
3People comparing optionsProofA real customer line, word for word

Your AI app writes the idea behind each ad: who it's for, the angle, the hook, the format, the offer if there is one, and what the ad tests. Read these before you say yes. If two ideas test the same thing, ask for a different one.

Ask for it

Make three ads for [product]. One for people who [know the problem],
one for people buying it as a gift, and one that uses a customer review.

Pick sizes and quality

  • Sizes: pick the places you'll run them. Feed (4:5) and Story (9:16) cover most Meta ads.
  • Quality: for a first test, Draft or Good is enough. Save Best and Top for ads that won.

Three ads in two sizes at Good quality is six images, so 270 credits. See Static ads.

After Goose makes them

  1. Read Goose's check on each ad. Look hard at any marked Check this.
  2. Approve the ones you'd run. Reject the others and pick what was wrong.
  3. Run the approved ads in Meta with the same budget each, for at least a few days.
  4. Ask your AI app "How are my ads doing?" See Read your results each week.

Use the ad idea sheet to write ideas of your own.
