Make your first video with Goose Video
A step-by-step guide to your first video ad, from the ask to the finished video on your Videos page.
Goose videos are planned in your AI app and made on your own computer by Goose Video. This guide walks you through your first one. See Videos and Goose Video for every detail.
Before you start
- Your computer stays on, awake and online while the video is made. Keep your laptop's lid open and plug it in.
- You have about 3 GB of free space.
- It helps to mark a few customer lines OK to quote and add photos of the product first. See Get customer words you can quote.
- You don't need to install anything. If your computer isn't set up yet, the card offers the setup while Goose writes. See Set up your computer.
Ask for a video
In your AI app, type: "Make a video ad for [your best seller]." Or paste a review and say: "Make a video ad from this review."
Pick the products and a style
Your AI app shows the styles you can pick, each with a demo video. For a first video, pick one that costs 0 credits or close to it. See Pick a video style.
Check the plan
Your AI app writes three hooks, picks one, and writes the scenes and the voice. Read the hook and the customer line. If either is weak, ask for another. See Three hooks and a customer line.
Say yes to the price
Your video comes as a batch of one. The price card shows your three hooks with Goose's pick selected. Choose Make this video on the card, or say yes under Price on the batch's page in the dashboard, and pick the computer that makes it.
Let your computer make it
Goose sends the video to your computer. You don't need to start anything. If Goose Video isn't open, the card shows Open Goose Video. Keep the computer on and awake. You can close the page and come back.
Watch it
When it's done, it plays on the card with Keep, Reject, Fix a scene and Send to Meta, paused. It also shows in Library, under Videos. Open it there to share a link and read the notes people leave.
If something goes wrong
- The video didn't finish: you pay nothing for it. Choose Try again for a new price. Parts already made are reused free.
- It ran out of time: everything must be made within 72 hours of your yes. You pay for the work already done, and New price for these carries on.
- Your computer is asleep or offline: it carries on when it wakes, or when you open Goose Video. If it shows Needs an update, run the setup on it again.
