Credits and plans
What things cost, how your team pays for them, and how credits come and go.
Making ads, photos and videos costs credits, and so do deep competitor reads and post searches. Your team shares one balance. Every job shows its price first and asks for your yes before it spends any.
What costs credits
| Work | Credits |
|---|---|
| Image ad, per ad, per size | Draft 30 · Good 45 · Better 60 · Best 120 · Top 180 |
| Campaign ads, per ad, per size | the same as image ads |
| Product photo, per photo | Draft 30 · Good 45 · Better 60 · Best 120 · Top 180 |
| A change to an ad | 30 |
| A finished ad in a new size, per size | 30 |
| A moving ad, 5 seconds | 42 |
| Searching Instagram or TikTok posts, per page from each | 1 |
| A deep read of a competitor, per page Goose reads | 1, up to the most you allow |
| Video ad | depends on the video, see below |
A video's price is the sum of the pieces Goose makes for it: pictures, short video clips priced by the second, and voice priced by its number of characters. Everything else happens on your computer and costs nothing, so some video styles cost 0 credits. Pieces already made for the same video are reused for free. See Videos.

Saying yes
Each price lists what Goose will make and the total. It never costs more than the total. A price holds for a set time, which it shows. If it runs out, ask for a new one.
You say yes on the card in your AI app, or on the price page or in Needs you in the dashboard. A yes typed in the chat can't spend credits.
How credits are held and spent
When you say yes, Goose sets the total aside. For some videos, it sets aside up to 20% more. Your balance shows what's set aside as held while the work runs. When the job ends, Goose spends only what the finished work cost, and the rest comes back:
- Work Goose couldn't make costs nothing.
- If you stop a job, you pay only for what was already finished.
- If nothing could be made, all the credits come back.
Your balance
The credits button at the top right shows how many credits you have left, with a Low or Out badge when you're running short. Choose it for Buy credits and Plan & credits.
On Settings, then Plan & credits, Your plan shows:
- Plan: your plan, when it renews, changes or ends, and how many plan credits are left this month.
- Ready to spend: everything you can spend now, and how much is held for jobs that are still running. Plan credits get used first.
- Bought and free credits: credits you bought and credits from Goose. They never expire.
Usage shows what your team spent on finished work in the last 7, 30 or 90 days, in total or by day, with your busiest day and what you spent most on. Credit history shows every time credits came in or went out, with the balance after.
Plans
A plan gives your team credits each month.
| Plan | Credits a month |
|---|---|
| Lite | 2,000 |
| Starter | 4,000 |
| Pro | 12,000 |
| Business | More than Pro, with a price made for your team. Choose Talk to us. |
On Plan & credits, choose Choose a plan to see each plan's price. Choose Start Lite, Start Starter or Start Pro to pay for one. Its credits for the month come as soon as the payment goes through.
Unused plan credits don't carry over. What's left ends when the plan's new month starts.
To change or cancel your plan, choose Manage billing under Payment and invoices. Your card, invoices and receipts are there too. Your plan shows when your plan renews, and when it's set to change or end.
- A bigger plan starts at once. You pay the difference for the rest of the month, and you get the extra plan credits as soon as that payment goes through.
- A smaller plan starts with your next plan month.
- If you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, and nothing is paid back. When it ends, its unused plan credits end too. Credits you bought stay.
Extra credits
You can top up any time with a paid plan. Choose Buy credits, then Buy on a pack. Packs come in 1,000, 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 credits. Credits you buy never run out.
Goose uses your plan credits first, then the credits that run out soonest.
When a price needs more credits than you have, the price page shows how many more you need, and Add credits marks the pack that Covers it. If even the biggest pack doesn't cover it, you may need more than one. After checkout you come back to your price, which stays the same until it runs out.
Free credits to start
Every new team gets 1,000 credits to try Goose. They never run out, and show under Credits you were given as Free credits to start.
Coupons
If you have a coupon code, an owner or admin can enter it in Coupon code, under Credits you were given, and choose Use coupon. Capitals don't matter.
A coupon can give your team credits, extra credits each month or on your next pack, or money off your plan. Credits from a coupon show under Credits you were given, with the date to use them by, if there is one. A team can use each coupon once.
Monthly limit
Owners and admins can set the most credits your team may use in a calendar month, counted in UTC. Under Monthly limit, enter Most credits a month and choose Save. Remove limit takes it off. Work that's still running counts toward it, including the extra held for some videos, even if it started the month before.
The limit applies to every yes, in the dashboard and on a card. If a yes would take the team past the limit, it doesn't go through and nothing is spent. Goose says how many credits the work needs and how much of the limit the team has used. Try again once there's room under the limit, or ask an owner or admin to raise or remove it. Goose also emails the owners and admins, once a month at most.
Who can pay
Only owners and admins can start or change a plan, buy credits, use a coupon or set a monthly limit. Everyone on the team can see the balance and say yes to work.
When credits run low
When your team has used 80% of its credits, Goose emails the owners and admins. It emails them again when credits run out, and when a yes doesn't go through because of the monthly limit. When credits are low or out, the dashboard also shows a banner with Add credits.
Each person can turn these emails off on Settings, then Account, under Emails.
